Apart from that at times pets can be affected by pests they are a good companion and most people love to keep them in their homes. Fleas cause a lot of health concerns for the pets which include; flea allergy dermatitis, anemia and many more. A very common disease in pets such as cats and dogs is flea allergy dermatitis and it is associated with flea bites. In the pets the skin disease causes a lot of itching and scratching which in turn leads to hair loss. Also associated with flea bites on the other hand is anemia. Weariness, pale skin, chills and shortness of breath can be signs of anemia in an animal. By avoiding the pets from full infestation from the flea maybe during peak seasons can help in achieving a lasting impact towards the animals’ health and happiness. That one’s pet has flea infestation the signs can be noticeable skin problems such as hair loss, hot spots and rashes. The saliva from fleas can cause if the pet suffers from serious allergic reactions. A common sign of fleas in any animal this usually is.

Black peppered spots on the fur or the skin of the animal can be as a result of flea dirt. Flea waste and blood that develops as the pests sucks blood out of the pets combination is the flea dirt. If one passes a moist towel over the flea dirt it will leave a brownish red stain and therefore if a person is not sure whether the spots are flea dirt they can pass a moist towel over it.
